The situation
Domo is a data experience platform with over $300 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 1,000 employees worldwide.
The EMEA team wanted their brand to stand out in a crowded category, where most competitors were saying the same thing.
While Domo had a strong global brand, comms and creative team, that team was focused on global priorities – event season, product launches, and a large internal company event – leaving limited support for regional storytelling.
Local agencies were available but costly. Most EMEA marketing investment was already directed toward demand generation, leaving little budget or bandwidth for brand development.

The Solution
Phase 1: The Clarity Suite
Coach began by running the Clarity Suite – starting with Discover, Position, and Define – to help Domo uncover, sharpen, and articulate its story for the region.
Discover: Interviews with leadership, sales, customer success, and customers revealed misalignment in messaging and missed opportunities to connect brand and business strategy.
Position: A competitor and category review identified gaps and defined where Domo could tell a distinct, customer-centric story.
Define: A new value proposition and narrative were developed, embedding a clear story across marketing, sales, and customer success for one consistent voice to market.
Phase 2: The Capacity Suite
With the clarity work complete, Coach helped the EMEA team brief their local agency for a new brand campaign. The proposal that came back was far above budget, so Domo asked Coach to deliver it instead through a Capacity: Activate project.
Coach developed three creative campaign routes and produced one concept through to full delivery, five times cheaper than the agency quote.
The partnership then expanded, with further Capacity: Activate projects to deliver the full campaign across three customer stories, tailoring creative and messaging for each audience while staying aligned with the global brand.
Ongoing Support: The Capacity Suite
Alongside project-based work, Domo faced periods of high demand and low internal capacity, particularly during event season and staffing transitions.
Through Capacity: Deliver, Coach provided ongoing, flexible support. Retained for a set number of hours each month to handle design, brand, and communications projects as priorities shifted.
Many of these tasks were simple but time-sensitive. On average, Coach turned these tasks around in under 24 hours, compared with the seven-day turnaround from the internal team, helping Domo maintain output, consistency, and momentum at speed.
